The brief
Overview
The Iraqi Council for International Media publishes news, reports on its activities, opinion articles and research studies. It needed a fast Arabic site to present that work and a simple way for its editors to publish it.
We designed and built the public site, a custom admin panel and the systems behind them. Every content type shares one publishing model, so editors work the same way whether they are posting a news story or a long study.
What we built
Features that matter to the business
Arabic first
A right-to-left site with sections for news, activities, articles, studies and the council's members, and readable Arabic URLs for every story.
One publishing workflow
News, articles, studies and activities share the same draft, publish and feature controls, so editors only learn one way of working.
Editor-friendly admin
A focused admin panel with simple forms, photo uploads and a dashboard of recent content, built for editors rather than developers.
Images handled for you
Uploaded photos are resized and compressed automatically, so pages stay light on mobile data.
Find and follow
Search with category filters for readers, view counts on every story, and a feed that news apps can follow.
Ready to be found
Every story is set up for search engines and gets a proper preview when shared, so coverage is easy to find and looks right on social media.

Performance
Stable and fast, even on a weak connection
Photos are compressed the moment editors upload them, and pages are prepared on the server before they reach the reader. Stories open quickly on a weak mobile signal, and the editors' admin panel runs separately from the public site, so publishing never slows readers down.
